I am a multi-passionate, people-oriented, spiritually guided, health enthusiast and certified health coach. I decided to become a health coach after struggling for many years with stomach pain, weight control and hormone imbalances. I sought alternative healing methods such as acupuncture, ayurveda, yoga, and a clean diet. I successfully overcame my challenges through natural remedies and am now passionate about helping others do the same. I hold a B.A. from Saint Joseph's University in English/Business and an M.A. from Fordham University in Religion and Religious Education. I coach clients privately and in groups to achieve their personal goals. I also teach children and adults in private schools and church communities about spirituality and holistic health through classroom instruction, retreats, and yoga.
My children's yoga training comes from the Yogibeans studio in New York City. I have developmentally appropriate curriculum for children who will benefit from learning anxiety reduction, peaceful conflict resolution, and stretching/strengthening for sports. My adult yoga training comes from from Yogalife Institute and is centered around classical yoga foundations for all levels and styles.
I received my training as a Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition's cutting-edge Health Coach Training Program.
During my training, I studied over 100 dietary theories, practical lifestyle management techniques, and innovative coaching methods with some of the world’s top health and wellness experts. My teachers included Dr. Andrew Weil, Director of the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine; Dr. Deepak Chopra, leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. David Katz, Director of Yale University’s Prevention Research Center; Dr. Walter Willett, Chair of Nutrition at Harvard University; Geneen Roth, bestselling author and expert on emotional eating; and many other leading researchers and nutrition authorities.
My education has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching, and preventive health. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them make lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results.
We don't need to strive for perfection, just balance in all areas of our lives. We start by healing any ailments through subtle diet changes. You will learn how food is medicine. Find balance that works for you.
